The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has said it has commenced interviews for its foreign post-graduate scholarship programme. Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua, was at the venue of the interview in Port Harcourt.
In a statement released on his behalf, he spoke of the effort of NDDC is reducing the educational inequality in the nation. “The people of the Niger Delta region have been marginalised in the past so education is the key we are giving to them to excel. If we want a prosperous nation, we must build prosperous people.”
About 3,000 Niger-Deltans jostle for 200 scholarships on offer by NDDC. The Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Programme is one of the legacy programs by the agency.
