The National Universities Commission (NUC) recently approved the university for operations within the country. James Hope University is highly focused on postgraduate degree programmes. The first admission batch are expected to resume in September 2022 for Master’s degree level programmes.

Academic Positions for Recruitment and Qualifications
For each of the department in all colleges, the following position available are:
- Professor
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree plus at least 7 – 10 years of academic teaching experience and a substantial record of publications.
- Senior Lecturer
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree plus at least 3 – 7 years of academic teaching experience and a track record of publications.
- Lecturer I
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree plus at least 2 – 5 years of academic teaching experience and several publications.
- Lecturer II
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree and a few publications.
Non Academic Positions and Qualifications
- Registrar
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related position, required; preference will be given to persons with a post-graduate degree, law degree or doctoral degree.
- University Librarian
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science or a related discipline plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related position, required; preference will be given to persons with post-graduate degree in Library Science, Information Science or a related discipline.
- Director of Human Resources
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related position, required; preference will be given to persons with post-graduate qualifications.
- Assistant Director of Human Resources
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related position, required; preference will be given to persons with post-graduate qualifications.
- Director of Admissions
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a related position, required; preference will be given to persons with post-graduate qualifications.
- Assistant Director of Admissions
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related position, required; preference will be given to persons with post-graduate qualifications
