University of Pretoria Commonwealth Doctoral Scholarship

The University of Pretoria, South Africa is calling for applications for its 2019 Commonwealth Doctoral Scholarship.

Deadline: 17th September, 2018

  • Eligibility

 

The University of Pretoria Commonwealth Doctoral Scholarship will be awarded to applicants who are citizens of Commonwealth countries.

  • Applicants must conduct their studies at the University of Pretoria to commence in 2019.
  • Applicants must have completed the degree that will give them admission to a doctoral programme no more than three years prior to their application for the University of Pretoria Commonwealth Doctoral Scholarship.
  • Applicants must not be older than 35 years of age at the time of application.
  • PhD and Masters students currently registered at the University of Pretoria are not eligible for the Doctoral Scholarship.

The government of Brunei Darussalam has announced it national scholarships for the 2017/18 session. Brunei Darussalam scholarship is for foreign students, Nigerians included.

Brunei Darussalam Scholarship, is tenable Brunei Darussalam. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is pleased to invite applications for the Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship, which provides applicants with the opportunity to study at any one of the following institutions of higher education:
· Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD),
· Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA),
· Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and
· Politeknik Brunei (PB).

Next Generation PhD Fellowship

The Next Generation PhD fellowship is a scholarship opportunity for Doctoral students in Social Sciences.

The US Social Science Research Council is providing support to African scholars (in Africa) from selected countries, for:

  1. PhD research proposals
  2. Dissertation research
  3. Dissertation completion

The focus is on peace, security and development and the use of interdisciplinary research approaches and methods.
