2013/14 UNILAG POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION PROCESS (PART I)

This post is for all postgraduate applicants to the University of Lagos postgraduate degree programme (postgraduate diploma, masters, and PhD). It is to give relevent information about UNILAG postgraduate admission process. As a former applicant to UNILAG PG programme (i applied last year 2012/2013 session) who went through the admission process and was admitted for postgraduate diploma (PGD) in chemical engineering, i believe i have little experience and tip bits of information that would aid your quest for a postgraduate degree.
1. Sale of Postgraduate Form
The advertisment and sale of postgraduate form is the start point in the postgraduate admission process.   This gives opportunity to all prospective postgraduate student to indicate their interest in any of the various programmes/courses by purchasing the postgraduate form. The postgraduate form for University of Lagos usually goes on sale between May and June each year. This year, the form started selling on the 22nd of May, 2013.
2. Closing of Postgraduate Forms and Registration
After some specified time, the sale of postgraduate forms come to a close, and later, the registration. By the time the form closes, all applicant should have filled in the required information on www.spgs.unlag.edu.ng The  registration is done at the department. The following document should be taken to the department; pphotocopies of birth certificates, NYSC certificates, degree certificates or statement of result. Other documents are photocard, bank teller you used to purchase your form and application form. This year, the form closed on the 3rd of July, while the registration would close on 17th of July. During this time, candidates can purchase past questions in their courses and apply.
