List of Authentic Postgraduate Universities in Nigeria

The Nigerian Education Agency overseeing university education, The National

University Commission NUC, has made a statement showing its concern about the proliferation of Postgraduate programme by many unaccredited universities and Institutions in Nigeria.

The National Universities Commission futher stated that qualifications/awards resulting therefrom are not recognized. NUC thus made a list of authentic universities qualified to run and award postgraduate degrees (postgraduate diploma, masters, PhD) in Nigeria as at 2012. It warned that Employers of labour, educational institutions and other stakeholders are to note that only certificates issued by these universities, for their approved programmes, are valid for employment, further studies and other purposes.
