200 graduates from the Niger delta region of Nigeria have been awarded the 2018 NDDC scholarships. The scholarship scheme is for the study different postgraduate courses at masters and PhD levels abroad. The graduates were given award letters at a briefing ceremony held on in Port Harcourt.
The Punch reports that NDDC Managing director, represented by Director Special Duties, Dr. Princewill Ekanim, described the postgraduate scholarship scheme as an important component of the commission’s human capital development.
The NDDC boss added that, about 4,000 candidates applied for the 2018 scholarship application, out of which 200 were selected. He advised the scholarship awardees to avoid distractions, in order to excel in their studies. He also told them to be good citizen of Niger delta and Nigeria.
