Nile University of Nigeria is a rapidly expanding private higher education institution in Abuja. The University was founded in 2009 and is a member of Honoris United Universities, Africa’s first and largest network of higher education institutions. Nile University has over 6,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, 38 undergraduate programmes spread across six faculties, and 51 postgraduate programmes spread across the same six faculties.

Nile University of Nigeria’s College of Health Sciences is located in Jabi, FCT. The College offers four undergraduate programmes: medicine (MBBS), anatomy (B.Sc), physiology (B.Sc), and public health (B.Sc), as well as a master’s degree in public health (MPH). It recently graduated its first class of doctors. The university is looking for a variety of academic and non-academic staff members.

Academic Qualifications and Requirements

Professor
  • Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree, a Postgraduate Fellowship qualification of the National or West African Postgraduate Medical Colleges or other equivalent fellowship qualifications as applicable to the area of specialization registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. A PhD degree is an added advantage.
  • Candidates should have teaching, research and administrative experience with at least 3 years’ experience as an Associate Professor in a recognized degree awarding instution.
  • The candidate must have a record of substantial publications in reputable journals and evidence of undergraduate and postgraduate supervision.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the achievement of the Institution’s Development Plan and the institution’s strategic planning processes.
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks, work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be adept in the use of MS Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Associate Professor

Senior Lecturer
  • Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree, a Postgraduate Fellowship qualification of the National or West African Postgraduate Medical Colleges or other equivalent fellowship qualification as applicable to the area of specialization registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. A PhD degree is an added advantage.
  • Candidates should have teaching, research and administrative experience with at least 3 years’ experience as a Lecturer I in a recognized degree awarding institution.
  • The candidate should possess a track record of National and International publications in renowned journals, demonstrating their commitment to ongoing research.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the achievement of the Institution’s Development Plan and the institution’s strategic planning processes.
Lecturer 1
  • Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree and a Postgraduate Fellowship qualification of the National or West African Postgraduate Medical Colleges or other equivalent fellowship qualifications as applicable to the area of specialization registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
  • Ability to contribute to the achievement of the Institution’s Development Plan and the institution’s strategic planning processes.
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks, work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be adept in the use of MS Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
    Candidates should have teaching, research and administrative experience within a reputable institution.
  • The candidate should possess a track record of National and International publications in renowned journals, demonstrating their commitment to ongoing research.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills.
Technologist
  • Eligible candidates with strong personal & professional integrity are advised to apply to the following academic departments:
    -Human Anatomy
    -Human Physiology
    -Medical Biochemistry.
  • B.Sc in a related field (Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry) with a Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) and registered with the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT). A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Candidates for Technologist I position must have a minimum of two (2) years cognate professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in using laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform laboratory procedures and experiments with precision and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experimental procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in laboratory research
